AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said that the Islamic Republic is prepared to resolve issues with the United States based on international frameworks.
In a phone conversation on Tuesday with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, President Pezeshkian stated, “We are ready to resolve issues between ourselves and the US based on international frameworks and we never seek anything beyond our rights; in this path, we welcome any assistance from our friendly and brotherly countries.”
Pezeshkian appreciated Saudi Arabia's clear positions and support during the military aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran.
The president referred to the US intervention in recent events, stating that “The Islamic Republic of Iran was compelled to respond to the direct participation of the US in the attack on Iran's territorial integrity by launching a missile attack on their base in the friendly and brotherly country of Qatar.”
Pezeshkian emphasized that we firmly believe that the US and the Zionist regime seek to create discord and enmity among Islamic countries, noting that Iran is seeking to strengthen unity and peace in the region and considers them a basis for accelerating development; a path that the Zionist regime seeks to disrupt.
He expressed hope that logical agreements could be reached within the framework of international rules regarding the legitimate rights of the Iranian nation and creating a suitable environment for the growth and progress of the entire region.
“Iran is not looking to confront any of its Islamic and neighboring countries, and I hope the Zionist regime, which is constantly igniting fires in the region, will also be put in its place based on international frameworks, he added.”
The Saudi crown prince, in this phone conversation, pointed out that Saudi Arabia condemned all actions of the Zionist regime against Iran from the beginning. He added, "In addition to efforts to create unity among all countries to condemn this aggression, we have made many efforts to consult with various countries to apply pressure on Israel and stop its attacks."
He stated that Saudi Arabia explicitly condemned the US attack on Iran, emphasizing, Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region have not opened their skies for any actions against Iran and will not do so.
He expressed hope that nothing would cause the resumption of military conflicts, and negotiations between Iran and the US would begin as soon as possible and reach a conclusion to eliminate the sources of concern.
